news page
Welcome to the latest news letter, August 2010.
Those students going to the world championship in Portugal, you should have paid your fees by the 8th Aug. Any questions see Amanda or Stephen.
I understand a few students can't now attend. Thanks for letting Stephen and Amanda know. Maybe next time.
For those going:
There will plenty of squad sessions to get more practice in between now and the the championship. There are also some extra mixed events. Amanda has also emailed all students with these and some other information which might be of interest to those going.
Students not going: maybe you could look at going to the championship in Mexico in 2012
I myself have attended the following,
1998, Switzerland (JKA World Championship)
2000, Wales (JKA World Championship)
2002, Germany (1st JSKA World Championship)
2004, South Africa (JSKA World Championship)
2006, USA (JSKA World Championship)
2008, UK (JSKA World Championship)
Next kyu grading, last Friday October, RAF dojo. As well as letting students know about gradings in the news letter, I also email students. If you are not on the email list and would like to receive emails, please let me know.
The next Dan grading will be held on the next brown and black belt course. It is a requirement of JSKA that Dan examinations are only carried out on such courses and that Japan is informed of examination test dates before. Students taking Dan examination must fill in the JSKA form and pay the full fees upfront. Full details are on the www.jska.co.uk web site. The JSKA form can be downloaded from the www.jskajp.org web site. Please either print on the form or use capital letter so that Japan can read the form.
